Tengku Amir Hamzah Monument

North Sumatera, Stabat city has an icon. It is Monument Amir Hamzah , one of national hero and a proudly poet of Indonesia. If you want to visit to that city make sure that you will be visit that Monument as the sign that you had been lawful visited the city. Stabat is the capital of Langkat North Sumatera. Monument Tengku Amir Hamzah is such a beautiful monument, it made of marble and standing right in the heart of Stabat, in front of Langkat regent office. There is a statue of Garuda Pancasila perched on the top. on the bottom of the monument there are illustrations of a book open and in front of a pen feather submerged in inkpot. on the left side of the page of an open book written history alive national hero Tengku Amir Hamzah. Tengku Amir Hamzah itself is a national hero and a very famous poet. in fact, HB Jassin dubbed as the ‘king of poets’ new poet. He was born on February 28 1911 in Tanjung Pura, Langkat.
